Fostering Cooperation, Investment with Indonesian Entities

Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Hoang Quang Phong recently received a delegation of government officials of the Reform Leader Academy (RLA) of Indonesia (13th term), led by Mr Ali Suryanto.

VCCI Vice President Hoang Quang Phong said that VCCI is ready to cooperate with Indonesia in supporting and facilitating enterprises to boost investment and other activities. In recent years, VCCI has always made every effort to improve the business environment by carrying out many practical activities namely contributing to and participating in business law-making and policymaking, assessing the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) for better local investment environment in Vietnam.

He also noted that VCCI has worked closely with relevant ministries to organise government - business dialogues at all levels where authorities and businesses listen to ideas of each other, address obstacles, and provide solutions for joint development.

Adi Suryanto, Head of the Reform Leader Academy (RLA) delegation of Indonesia, said that, given Vietnam’s currently rapid and impressive economic development, its business support and promotion models always interest officials in Indonesia and in ASEAN as a whole.

He expected that VCCI will continue to work closely with the Chamber of Commerce and business associations in Indonesia to assist Indonesian businesses to increase investment in Vietnam in the coming time. At the same time, the two sides will jointly organise workshops to share experiences and models of effective business support to further improve bilateral trade cooperation and their ties with other ASEAN member countries.
