Nestlé Vietnam appoints new Managing Director

Mr. Binu Jacob has been appointed as Managing Director of Nestlé Vietnam from April 1st, 2020.

Mr. Binu Jacob will replace Mr. Ganesan Ampalavanar, who has held the position of Managing Director of Nestlé Vietnam from February 1st, 2015 to March 31st 2020. Mr. Ganesan Ampalavanar will become the Managing Director of Nestlé Indonesia from April 1st, 2020.

Mr. Binu Jacob has over 22 years working at Nestlé Group across Europe, US and Asia. Before coming to Vietnam, he was the Regional Business Head and Senior Vice President of the Baby Nutrition Business Unit for Nestlé China. With a mandate to turn around the Nestlé Infant Nutrition business in this Region, he achieved this with a persistent focus on people, purpose and performance. His strong experience and solid leadership skill will enable him to fulfill the leadership role of Nestlé Vietnam in the near future.

Nestlé is the world’s largest food and beverage company with over 150 years history, headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland. The group has more than 2,000 brands and presents in 191 countries all over the world. Nestlé officially started the business in Vietnam in 1992 by a joint venture with Long An Trading Company to form La Vie company limited which produces La Vie mineral waters.

Nestlé Vietnam was registered in 1995 as a 100% foreign invested enterprise. The company produces and distributes nutritional, food and beverage products such as NESCAFÉ, MILO, MAGGI, NAN... To date, the total investment capital of Nestlé in Vietnam is around 700 million USD. The company employs more than 2,500 employees nationwide and operates 6 factories in Vietnam.
