The SJC gold price of the Saigon Jewellery Holding Company (SJC) continues to fall by between VND20,000-30,000 per tael, to stand at VND8.33-8.34 million per tael earlier this month.
The decline in the yellow metal has followed the trend of the international market where it fell by US$2.8 per ounce from late last month to US$434.7 per ounce on July 1.
The US Federal Reserve (FED) has recently raised interest rates of the US dollar by 0.25 per cent to 3.25 per cent per annum on June 30, which makes USD banknotes stronger.
The gold price dropped to the lowest level this year on June 1, when it was traded at around VND8.1 million per tael.
