On October 12, at the Government Office, the Prime Minister met with businessmen on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13) to recognize and praise the contributions of the Vietnamese entrepreneurs, business community.
The meeting was organized by the Government Office in collaboration with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
Participants at the meeting included Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, Minister, Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Thi Hong, Chairman of the Committee of State Capital Management at Enterprises Nguyen Hoang Anh, VCCI President Pham Tan Cong, and other leaders of central ministries.
In particular, attending the meeting were 72 delegates representing the business community, business associations, entrepreneurs, and cooperatives of all economic sectors.
Addressing the opening of the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered his respectful greetings to the business community and entrepreneurs, wishing that the business community will continue to grow and contribute to the cause of the development of the country.
This year's Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day is celebrated in an extraordinary way, as the pandemic is raging nationwide. The pandemic has hard-hit the socio-economic development, production, and business performance. Under the leadership of the Party, the management of the State, the support of the people, especially the participation of the business community, we have still obtained important achievements throughout the year.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Tan Cong, President of VCCI, expressed that it is in this difficult time that the business community and enterprises feel extremely encouraged to receive the attention of the leaders of the Party, the State, and especially the Prime Minister. “Though the COVID-19 pandemic is causing great difficulties for businesses, Vietnamese businessmen still firmly believe in the leadership of the Party and Government,” Mr. Pham Tan Cong affirmed.
