Japfa Donates VND6 Bln Worth of Medical Equipment to Hospital in Binh Phuoc Province

Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Japfa Vietnam) donated medical equipment and devices – including dialysis machines, handheld X-Ray machines, oxygen ventilators,…total value of  VND6 billion to the Covid-19 Quarantine Area and Field Hospital of Binh Phuoc Province located at An Loc Plaza. This program is part of the community support activities to prevent and fight the pandemic.


At the event, Chairwoman of the Binh Phuoc People's Committee Tran Tue Hien presents a letter of thanks to Mr. Arif Widjaja, General Director of Japfa Vietnam

Mr. Arif Widjaja, General Director of Japfa Vietnam, said: “As an enterprise with several investment and trading projects in Binh Phuoc Province, we are always going hand in hand with the local authorities in community support activities. As a result, in response to the appeal of the People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc Province, we present medical equipment to the field hospital to enable its treatment for patients, thus lending a hand in combating the pandemic.”

On the occasion of the meeting to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day, Ms. Tran Tue Hien, Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc Province, extended gratitude to Japfa Vietnam.

Binh Phuoc Province’s Quarantine Area and Field Hospital located at An Loc Plaza have 1,000 beds for quarantine patients and 300 beds for treatment. This facility is in charge of receiving, separating, conducting first aid, caring for and curing Covid-19 patients from Long Binh Municipality and Hon Quan, Loc Ninh and Bu Dop districts, and is ready to share the burden of other localities in the province if need be.

Looking forward to a sustainable business development goal, since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Japfa Vietnam has donated over 11 tons of chicken, nearly one ton of pork and some 128,000 chicken eggs worth nearly VND800 million as a way to encourage those fighting the pandemic on the front line and to ease difficulties of people nationwide. Especially, in June this year, the company donated US$1 million (approximately VND23 billion) to the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front to contribute to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund to join hands with the Vietnamese Government in the mass vaccination drives for the public as a precondition for economic recovery.

Japfa entered Vietnam in 1996 through the joint venture with Vietnam Livestock Corp. In 1999, Japfa became a wholly foreign-invested company – Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Limited Liability Company – headquartered in Huong Canh Town, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province. The company is now operating six feed production factories, more than 300 poultry and livestock farms, and a network of some 30 stores selling meat and processed foods under the brand name of Japfa Best. Given its staff of over 5,500 skilled employees, Japfa is step by step expanding its business, contributing its part to animal husbandry development in Vietnam.
