Acting as a bridge for the government and the business community, the Thai Binh Business Association actively joins business policymaking and business development support.
To cope with the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic in the province, the association based on an approved working agenda where it focused on capturing difficulties faced by enterprises to promptly report them to competent authorities for settlement and resolution.
At a conference seeking solutions to business difficulties held by the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee on June 14, 2021, the Thai Binh Business Association raised many opinions and recommendations to the provincial authorities about business difficulties. As a result, 66 new proposals and 13 old unresolved proposals were received by the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, which would direct relevant bodies to seek a solution. 57 proposals were answered immediately at the conference or shortly after that.
Given a sudden increase in payable land rents in 2021, the association sent a request to the Provincial People's Committee, asking for participation of relevant professional bodies for advice to solution to this matter and organize a business meeting to this effect in June 2021. Its leaders also attended meetings on high payable land rents and extended land lease terms hosted by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Finance. The association expressed its views to protect legitimate rights and interests of enterprises.
Not only promoting its role of bridging the government and businesses, the Thai Binh Business Association also plays a critical role in policymaking relating to business and production; encourages the business community to strictly observe Party policies, State laws and provincial regulations. The association regularly captures business situations in a timely manner, proactively reports business difficulties to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant bodies for settlement, helps businesses adapt to and respond to the new normal. It also develops memberships to strengthen its capacity. By carrying out specific and practical actions for legitimate interests of its members, the association is always a reliable support for its members.
