FPT Distribution Auctions the Diamond Nokia Cellphone for Charity

FPT Distribution, the official distributor of Nokia cell phones, auctioned the diamond Nokia 8800 cell phone at the FPT-Nokia Showroom, the Nokia’s largest showroom in northern Vietnam, at No. 8, Trang Thi Street, Hanoi on August 25. The charity auctioning of the diamond Nokia 8800, with a platinum casing and 24 diamonds forming the letter “N”, was aimed to celebrate the first anniversary of the Nokia-FPT showroom.

 

Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, chairwoman of the PHI Consultancy and Investment Company, bought this diamond cell phone at a price of VND78 million (US$4,875). 

 

This sum of money has been donated to the “For the Poor” Fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in order to relieve the suffering of the poor.

 

The Song Hanh (Go Hand-in-Hand) Evening Show kicked off the month long exhibition of Nokia products. The show included ao dai dresses designed by Sy Hoang. During the exhibition month, any buyer of Nokia cell phones will be presented with a VND400,000 (US$25) coupon to buy goods at the supermarket.
