Hai Phong Customs collected VND45,063 billion for the State Budget in the first seven months of 2022, an increase of VND6,072.5 billion or 15.5% over the same period in 2021. This outcome fulfilled 70.8% of the full-year target of VND63,630 billion assigned by the Ministry of Finance or 67.2% of the target of VND67,050 billion assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
On average, Hai Phong Customs collected VND6,438 billion for the State Budget each month during the reporting period. June had the highest collection value of VND6,922.7 billion.
Meanwhile, February had the lowest value of VND5,382.5 billion, the only month below VND6,000 billion because of the long Lunar New Year holiday.
In the first seven months of the year, Hai Phong Customs handled about 1.3 million declarations. June had the largest number of declarations, with 204,255 declarations, while February had the least, with 111,108 declarations.
The total merchandise import and export value at Hai Phong Customs reached nearly US$68 billion in the first seven months of the year, with April, June and April exceeding US$10 billion. The Processed Commodities Management Customs Subdepartment handled most with 44,797 declarations while the Customs Office of Hai Phong Port Section 1 had the least, with 4,822 declarations.
