As one of leading garment exporters in Tien Giang province, Tien Tien Garment Joint Stock Company not only creates jobs for many workers but also contributes significantly to local budget revenue. The company always promotes internal resources, technological innovations and human resource investment to increase competitiveness.
Since its inception in 1994, Tien Tien Garment Joint Stock Company has always renovated its business management to boost production capacity and enhance competitiveness in the market; and focused on diversifying models, upgrading modern technological equipment to increase productivity and product quality. Currently, after more than 28 years of operation, the company has provided well-paid jobs for 2,500 employees, with average pay of VND9.1 million a month. The company's products have conquered demanding markets such as the United States, the UK, Japan and European countries.
In 2021, like many other textile and garment businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company faced the verge of bankruptcy. Given its good administration, Tien Tien Garment Joint Stock Company gradually overcame difficulties, stabilized production, kept the market and retained customers for continued development.
Immediately after the epidemic outbreak, the company quickly worked out and carried out active plans to adapt safely and flexibly to the epidemic to maintain and develop production. The firm managed to prevent and control the epidemic as guided by health authorities. Lying at the epidemic epicenter, Tien Tien Garment Joint Stock Company had to halt manufacturing for more than four months. Failing to meet orders placed by customers, the company would lose them or worse go bankrupt and more than 2,500 employees would become unemployed. This is a huge pressure on the company's management. The company accepted losses to outsource northern producers to meet placed orders. This was the only way to ensure on-time delivery to partners and a way out for it. At that time, to prevent the epidemic, all means of transport in the south, including in Tien Giang, could not move from province to province. It was not until two months later when COVID-19 was better controlled, the company was able to transfer orders to northern producers. Tien Tien Garment Joint Stock Company had to accept a much higher cost than contractual prices previously signed with its customers so as to fulfill all the orders and ensure timely delivery. As a result, its reputation was further boosted in the eyes of partners, enabling it to become a reliable supplier for long-term sustainable business cooperation.
Currently, after returning to the so-called new normality, all employees have been vaccinated against COVID-19 while the company has maintained regular factory disinfections; and added more nutrients to daily meals to increase resistance for employees. Along with that are investment solutions to modernize technology lines and production equipment, search for new orders and expand markets; launched incentive movements to stimulate its employees to work harder and contribute innovation initiatives for higher productivity; and resolved to avoid production chain disruptions and complete all business targets and plans.
General Director Tran Van Dung said that Tien Tien Garment Joint Stock Company is always determined to enhance competitiveness with its internal resources: Taking the lead in cutting-edge technology, investing in human resources to improve labor productivity, bringing high income to employees, ensuring financial obligations to the State Budget, and regularly upgrading the factory environment to give the best working conditions to employees. Despite difficult circumstances, the company still maintains production, keeps its prestige among customers and pays special attention to the livelihoods of employees.
Beside boosting business operations, Tien Tien Garment Joint Stock Company actively participates in social work. The firm is always keen on supporting and sharing with employees living a hard life by helping them feel secure in their long-term employment with the company. At the same time, it is also very active to take part in local charity movements such as donating the Fund for the Poor and the Study Promotion Fund and supporting local poor households. Especially, when the COVID-19 epidemic broke out, Tien Tien actively participated and supported local frontline forces, materially and financially.
With the above results, after 28 years of operation, the company was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Order and many certificates of merit from the Party and the State, many emulation flags from Tien Giang Provincial People’s Committee, Vietnam Social Security, and Tien Giang Tax Department.
In the coming time, the company will actively research and closely follow local socioeconomic development guidelines, orientations and plans to work out suitable business plans. Simultaneously, Tien Tien will further uphold the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and creativity to strongly arouse endogenous strength, combined with scientific and technological application, to improve competitiveness.
“For its long-term goals, Tien Tien will strongly develop the brand and launch distinctive, premium products for domestic and export markets. In the near future, the company will invest a lot in specialized automatic equipment and machinery to modernize its production factories; strive for high revenue and profit growth; improve employees’ life quality; and actively help local socioeconomic development," said General Director Tran Van Dung.
