While in Brasilia, the Delegation had working sessions with President of the Brazil-Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentarians' Group Marcio Honaiser; President of the Commission on Human Rights, Minorities and Racial Equality of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies Luizianne Lins; and Secretary for International Relations of the Federal District Government Paco Brito.

At these meetings, Nguyen stressed that his visit aimed to promote cooperation between the Vietnamese NA Council for Ethnic Affairs and the Brazilian Commission on Human Rights, Minorities, and Racial Equality regarding the rights and interests of vulnerable ethnic minority communities.

He took this occasion to invite Brazilian parliamentarians to attend the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians slated for September in Ha Noi.

The legislator suggested the two sides enhance all-level delegation exchanges and maintain a political consultation mechanism between the two foreign ministries and the inter-governmental committee to review cooperation progress and consider expanding the collaboration in the areas of shared concern.

The two sides highly appreciated the close cooperation between the Viet Nam-Brazil Friendship Parliamentarians' Group, thereby promoting relations between the National Assembly of the two countries and contributing to raising the level of the Viet Nam-Brazil Comprehensive Partnership.

The Brazilian side affirmed that Viet Nam is an essential partner of Brazil.

Also, they noted that the visit and cooperation activities between the two friendship parliamentarians' groups would contribute to deepening the relations between the two countries and their legislatures and materializing reached agreements.

The two sides pledged to play a pivotal role in promoting cooperation between the two parliaments, thereby promoting the two countries' relations in politics, economy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges, especially mutual support in regional and international forums.

During this business trip, the Delegation also visited Brazilian communities and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Brasilia, the Viet Nam Trade Office in Sao Paolo, and the Vietnamese community.
