President Holds Discussion with ABAC Vietnam Chairman on Preparations for 2023 APEC Economic Leaders' Week

Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong welcomed Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Vietnam, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and other ABAC members at the Office of the President on October 25, 2023.

At this meeting, President Thuong heard the report and discussed business-related issues within the framework of the APEC Summit Week 2023, scheduled to take place from November 11 to November 17, 2023 in San Francisco, the United States.

ABAC Vietnam Chairman Pham Tan Cong presented the ABAC 2023 Report to the APEC Economic Leaders and introduced activities that will be held during the APEC Summit Week 2023, including: (1) the fourth ABAC Meeting in 2023; (2) the APEC CEO Summit 2023; (3) the Dialogue between APEC Economic Leaders and ABAC; (4) the National Center for APEC (NCAPEC) expects to meet with the President on the sidelines of the 2023 APEC Economic Leaders' Week; (5) the President will have a dinner with some prominent APEC businesses; (6) Trade promotion and business connection events between Vietnam and the United States; (7) and booths displaying and introducing Vietnamese products at the APEC CEO Summit.

The meeting emphasized the importance of business cooperation within the APEC framework and the significant contributions to promoting economic and trade cooperation in the region.
