This is the fifth year The Saigon Times has organized the program to recognize those businesses that have left a positive impact on the local communities. Generali Vietnam was one of forty companies honored at the Saigon Times 2023 Merit Ceremony for outstanding CSR practices and community contributions.
Generali Vietnam’s community projects are always based on the values of sustainability, necessity, and participatory development, and the active involvement of the community has mirrored the values that Generali Vietnam is pursuing. This greatly motivates Generali Vietnam to commit to our ambition of becoming “Lifetime Partner” to millions of Vietnamese families.
Since 2020, Generali Vietnam has initiated a signature program known as Sinh con-Sinh cha (Born children – Born parents) as part of The Human Safety Net, with an aim to improve parenting knowledge and skills, thus contributing to Vietnamese children’s early childhood development. “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” successfully delivered useful parenting content on its digital channels attracting millions of views, interactions and positive comments from the community.
On September, 2023, Generali Vietnam in collaboration with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) inaugurated a kitchen for children at Xa Dung B village, Ban Mai kindergarten, Xa Dung commune, Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province. Over 80 little children of Thai and H’mong ethnic groups in the northern upland province of Dien Bien’s Dien Bien Dong District must have now enjoyed better care these days following the completion of a kitchen.
Also in September, Generali Vietnam started the construction of the Dong Dong branch school of Son Ca kindergarten in Mo O Commune, Dkrong District, Quang Tri Province. This is another passionate project in Generali Vietnam's journey of extending love to children. The project uses fundraising from Generali Vietnam's “Sức khỏe trao Mình – Trường mới trao Em” campaign within the framework of The Human Safety Net's Global Challenge 2023.
Generali Vietnam also organized a series of initiatives to support the less fortunate, as well as to spread the spirit of healthy and positive living among the public. Early this year, Generali Vietnam delivered gifts to hundreds of pediatric patients and orphans of Tan Trieu K hospital in Hanoi and Thien Than Shelter in Thu Duc City, HCMC.
The “Saigon Times CSR” certification is a confirmation of Generali Vietnam commitment towards our stakeholders and the communities as a Lifetime Partner. This achievement is an additional incentive to develop a healthy, resilient and sustainable company.
