FPT Receives SHTP Investment Licence
The management board of the Saigon Hi-tech Park (SHTP) presented an investment licence to a project ‘Research Centre for Telecommunications, Information Technology and Software Production,’ which is developed by the Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT). The project, capitalised at VND 576 billion, will be implemented on an area of two hectares at SHTP. The construction of the project’s 30 storey towers for software engineers and specialists will start in 2006. It also has a five-storey building for administrative activities, showrooms, and a three-storey building for conference halls, libraries, training rooms, a fitness centre and canteen, as well as outdoor sport facilities and a parking area.
The project confirms the group’s development orientations in the software industry, contributing to the growth of Ho Chi Minh City and the country’s hi-tech industry. The centre will research and develop information, communication and Internet solutions and services, manufacturing software products for export.
