Green Energy Transition and Sustainable Economy in Industrial Sector

The ‘Forum on Green Energy Transition and Sustainable Economy in the Industrial Sector’ recently took place at Kinh Bac Cultural Center in Bac Ninh City providing a platform for stakeholders to discuss effective strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.

It emphasized the global imperative of transitioning to green energy and fostering a sustainable economy in alignment with international climate commitments, such as the Paris Agreement. Vietnam’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, as outlined in its National Strategy on Climate Change, highlights the significance of this event in sharing best practices and advancing carbon neutrality efforts.

Key discussions included comprehensive analyses and multidimensional assessments of the importance of circular economic models. Activities focused on encouraging the use of emission data for strategic planning to reduce emissions, promoting green technology solutions, and facilitating access to funding for businesses transitioning to sustainable practices.

The forum also featured exhibitions showcasing innovations in clean energy, green technologies and eco-friendly construction materials. It drew approximately 500 high-level leaders from the Ministry of Construction, various departments and institutes under the Ministry, as well as numerous partners from the industrial, construction and infrastructure sectors. Over 40 media agencies covered the event, amplifying its impact and disseminating insights on advancing green energy transition and sustainable economic practices within the industrial sector.
