Hanoi Fair on Agricultural Products and Craft Villages Opens

The fair has more than 80 booths, more than 1,000 craft village products, safe agricultural and food products, and OCOP products. In addition, there are display areas to experience craft village tourism and OCOP products associated with rural agriculture and new rural construction of Hanoi and 22 provinces and cities.

Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Dinh Hoa said: Coming to the fair, we have more than 80 booths with over 1,000 products from 22 centrally-run provinces and cities and districts in Hanoi. This Fair aims to strengthen connections and introduce and promote craft village products, OCOP products, and safe agricultural products of Hanoi City and other provinces. Through this fair, this is an opportunity for businesses and production facility owners to introduce their products to domestic consumers as well as in Hanoi.

In 2024, from the beginning of the year until now, we have regularly organized many fair programs, and every month we have coordinated with the Committees of districts and communes in the city to carry out weekly fairs as well as festival fairs and seminars to introduce, promote, connect and trade the capital's products to consumers.

To date, the city has 100% of districts and communes meeting new rural standards, 186 communes meeting advanced new rural standards; and 68 communes meeting model new rural standards. By 2024, Hanoi strives to have at least 4 districts meet advanced new rural standards and Hanoi City completes the task of building new rural areas.



Delegates visit booths at the Fair

Hanoi, the capital, is "the land of hundreds of crafts" with about 1,350 craft villages, of which 327 craft villages and traditional craft villages have been recognized. Implementing the OCOP Program, the city has so far had 2,711 products recognized.

Hanoi currently has 1,090 agricultural cooperatives in operation;1,695 farms; and 149 product production and consumption chains with more than 164 high-tech application models, more than 13,000 agricultural, forestry, and fishery products have been granted traceability codes.
