On the evening of June 19, 2025, at Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi), the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hanoi coordinated with the People's Committee of Hai Ba Trung District to organize an event to introduce OCOP products associated with the culture of the Southern provinces.

This event took place over 5 days (from June 18 to 22, 2025), with a scale of more than 100 booths and about 1,000 craft village products, safe agricultural products and OCOP products from districts, towns and cities in Hanoi and 42 provinces and cities nationwide.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Deputy Chief of Office in charge of the Office of the Coordination Office of the New Rural Development Program of Hanoi Ngo Van Ngon said: OCOP is a key program for economic development in rural areas in the direction of promoting internal strength and increasing value.
“This is an important solution and task in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development for the 2021-2025 period; aiming to promote the initiative, creativity, and spirit of cooperation of entities and communities to develop OCOP products, meet market demands, and contribute to the goal of creating jobs, increasing income for people, and preserving traditional culture…”, Mr. Ngo Van Ngon shared.

Implementing the OCOP Program, from 2019 to present, Hanoi has assessed and classified 3,317 OCOP products (accounting for 21.3% of the country). Hanoi is also the leading locality in the country in terms of the number of OCOP products.

On this occasion, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hanoi requested that the Departments, branches, and localities in the city continue to promote and support entities participating in the OCOP Program so that OCOP products can increasingly spread in rural areas; At the same time, promote production organization towards value chain linkage, to increase the value of OCOP products.
