After more than 10 years of implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction, the rural appearance of My Duc district has changed and achieved quite positive results. The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved, the appearance of the countryside has changed significantly.
As the last district of Hanoi to reach the new rural finish line, after just over a year of efforts to improve the quality of the criteria, My Duc district continues to achieve many outstanding achievements in new rural construction, agricultural development, and improving farmers' lives.

Remarkable results
Dai Hung commune (My Duc district) was recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2023 and will continue to immediately start building a model new rural area in 2024. According to Chairman of Dai Hung Commune People's Committee Vu Van Chuy, Dai Hung builds a model new rural area in 2 areas: Education and training; health. As a result, the commune has 3/3 schools meeting national standards, of which Dai Hung Secondary School meets national standards at level 2. The commune has met the standards for universal preschool education for 5-year-old children; met the standards for universal primary and secondary education at level 3...
In the health sector, Dai Hung Commune Health Station has been newly invested in, with an area of nearly 2,100m2, and is now completed. The commune Health Station has full facilities and specialized rooms according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health. From May 2023 to October 2024, the station has examined and treated nearly 4,000 people, contributing to better and better health care for the people...
In An My commune, which is implementing the construction of a model new rural commune, An My commune has chosen the field of education and training. The commune has invested resources in upgrading and renovating schools, especially adding and upgrading facilities, teaching and learning equipment, and building national standard schools. Notably, An My commune has built a smart village model in Kinh Dao village, where more than 440 households, with more than 1,700 people, are concentrated. The commune has established a community digital transformation team, with the task of propagating, guiding, and directly assisting people in the village to use digital technology and applications.

Chairman of the People's Committee of An My commune Tran Quoc Tuan said that thanks to the smart village model, up to now, 100% of households in Kinh Dao village have used smartphones connected to the internet, of which more than 80% of people of working age have electronic payment accounts to transfer, withdraw money, pay tuition fees, pay electricity and water bills, buy and sell goods online, pay public service fees online, etc. Many households have installed security camera systems.
According to the Standing Deputy Secretary of the My Duc District Party Committee, Do Trung Hai, despite facing many difficulties, in 2024, My Duc district completed all 18 economic and social targets assigned by the city, notably the state budget revenue of more than 1,250 billion VND, reaching more than 230% of the city's estimate. The district has three more communes completing the construction of advanced new rural areas, four model new rural communes... Promoting the achieved results, My Duc district strives to have three communes completing the criteria for building model new rural areas and two advanced new rural communes by 2025...
Completing cultural and sports institutions
Currently, My Duc district has 90% of families recognized as "Cultural Families", 119 villages achieving the title of "Cultural Village", and 3 residential groups maintaining the title of culture. Up to now, the number of people regularly practicing sports in the district has reached 42% of the district's population; The number of sports households reached nearly 34% of the households in the whole district. Communes and towns established 25 more sports clubs, bringing the total number of clubs in the whole district to 470. The district's athlete delegations participated in city-level competitions and won many medals in the following sports: Athletics, traditional martial arts, Vovinam, Taekwondo...

In Huong Son commune, there is currently a central sports area of nearly 47,000m2. All villages have cultural houses fully equipped with seats, sound and lighting equipment, and bookcases; There are volleyball courts, badminton courts, outdoor sports equipment... In addition, Huong Son commune also maintains regular activities of 4 art clubs, 12 sports clubs...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Chinh, a resident of Yen Vi village (Huong Son commune) shared: "With the attention and investment of superiors in building a new cultural house and stadium, the villagers are very excited. After each working day, everyone comes here to practice sports, improve their health or participate in cultural activities...". Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of My Duc district, Tran Xuan Thang, said that up to now, the district has had 126/129 cultural houses in villages and residential groups; the remaining 3 cultural houses have been approved for investment by the District People's Committee. After being put into use, the cultural houses, stadiums, and sports areas have brought into full play their functions. Not only on holidays and Tet, on normal days, the cultural house is used to organize people's meetings, party cell and union activities; village cadres propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to the people. The cultural house is also a place to display and preserve traditional cultural values of the locality.
