Air Carriers in Vietnam Unveil Summer Plans
Air carriers in Vietnam have announced their summer schedules featuring more flights starting early next week.
Accordingly, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will operate eight or nine flights on the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route each day, and increase flights to Japan, its favorite overseas destination, and local tourist sites during the holiday season.
The country’s second biggest carrier Pacific Airlines also said it will have seven flights daily on the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City service, four in the morning and three in the afternoon. It will also offer five flights per week from Ho Chi Minh City to Taiwan’s Taipei and Kaohsiung and change timings for increased convenience.
Vietnam Airlines Services Company (VASCO) also plans to increase flight frequencies on existing sectors and add new routes this summer, the major travel season.
Foreign air operators flying to Vietnam have also announced their summer schedules.
Air France will operate seven flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Paris per week instead of the present five.
Japan Airlines has also announced five extra flights per week on the Ho Chi Minh City-Tokyo route.
The summer schedules are valid until late October.
