Over more than 50 years of development, Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC) has grown into not only one of the leading industrial enterprises in Central Vietnam but also a major brand in Vietnam’s tire manufacturing industry in international markets. With a modern manufacturing foundation, a sustainable development strategy, and a strong commitment to continuous innovation, the company has made important contributions to economic growth, job creation, and strengthening the city’s industrial sector.

DRC has created thousands of jobs, supported community welfare, and contributed to local development

From a factory established at a time when the country was still facing many challenges, DRC has grown into an enterprise with a nationwide distribution network and products exported to dozens of countries and territories. In particular, its all-steel radial tires have helped the company build a strong presence in demanding markets such as the United States, Brazil, the Middle East, and across Asia.

For many years, DRC’s export revenue has remained between US$120 million and US$150 million a year. In 2026, despite continued volatility in the global economy, rising logistics and raw material costs, and increasing competitive pressure, the company is targeting export revenue of approximately US$135 million. At present, exports account for around 65% of the company’s total revenue, reflecting the important role international markets continue to play in its long-term growth strategy.

According to Le Hoang Khanh Nhut, General Director of Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company, this performance reflects years of investment in technology, product quality improvements, and a steady commitment to building the DRC brand in overseas markets. “Although the global economic environment continues to face many challenges, DRC remains committed to maintaining its export markets, strengthening competitiveness, and continuing long-term investment for sustainable development,” he said.

To achieve these results, the company’s internal efforts have been supported by the active backing of Da Nang in creating a favorable investment and business environment for enterprises. Support from Da Nang’s tax and customs authorities has helped the company reduce both time and costs in import-export activities. Administrative procedures have also become more modern, transparent, and digitally integrated, helping businesses strengthen competitiveness and take a more proactive approach to production planning and international trade.

As international integration continues to deepen, Vietnamese enterprises are competing not only on cost but are also expected to meet a wide range of environmental, technological, and sustainability standards required by global markets. As a result, investment in science and technology, upgrading production lines, and developing high-quality products have become essential for industrial manufacturers.

Le Hoang Khanh Nhut believed that as businesses continued adapting to green transition requirements and increasingly demanding international technical standards, additional support policies would create strong momentum for the industrial manufacturing sector. “Businesses need preferential mechanisms to access investment capital at reasonable costs, while also expanding opportunities to participate in support programs related to science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. This will provide a strong foundation for businesses to enhance value and strengthen competitiveness in the global marketplace,” Nhut said.

Beyond its significant contributions to the national budget, DRC has also created stable jobs for thousands of local workers, while actively participating in social welfare programs, supporting local communities, and contributing to the development of Da Nang through different stages.

More than half a century of development reflects a journey of resilience, innovation, and ambition. At a time when the global economy continues to experience volatility, DRC’s ability to maintain manufacturing capacity, preserve export markets, and strengthen competitiveness demonstrates the company’s strong internal foundation. It also reflects the effectiveness of cooperation among local authorities, regulatory agencies, and the business community in building a dynamic, modern, and deeply integrated economy in Da Nang.
