Samsung Vietnam, in collaboration with the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Finance, held the Grand Final and Award Ceremony of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow (SFT) 2026 competition, honoring STEM-based solutions that address real-world challenges facing communities.

Samsung SFT 2026 demonstrated remarkable growth in both scale and professional quality. The strategic partnership between Samsung, a leading global technology corporation, and NIC, a key institution at the heart of Vietnam's national innovation ecosystem, generated strong synergies that helped expand the reach of STEM education across all 34 provinces and cities nationwide. The competition attracted more than 1,800 secondary and high schools and received over 2,900 submissions – the highest number of entries since the program was first launched in Vietnam in 2019.
These achievements demonstrate that Samsung SFT 2026 is not merely a technology competition for young people, but also a vivid testament to the realization of the Party and Government's major policies and strategic orientations.

At the Grand Final, the Top 17 outstanding teams presented highly practical technological solutions directly addressing real-world challenges within their communities. Their projects focused on three key areas: Developing a Sustainable Environment through Technology; Combining Sports and Technology to Drive Social Change (with a focus on education and future development); and Applying Technology to Build a Sustainable Society.
The Jury highly appreciated the Top 17 teams not only for their modern technological thinking but also for the strong humanistic values underpinning their projects. The students developed solutions by applying technology to address familiar challenges related to education, healthcare, safety, and the environment, with target beneficiaries including students, farmers, and local communities.
Through their models and products, the students demonstrated that innovation goes beyond technological solutions – it is ultimately about creating value and serving the community.
According to the Jury's assessment at the Grand Final, the solutions had achieved significantly higher levels of development and refinement compared with the Product Development Round. The students' live presentations also demonstrated their thorough preparation, as well as their in-depth understanding of the technologies and products developed by their respective teams.
As a result, the two First Prizes were awarded to: (1) NOVARISE Team – FPT Da Nang Primary and Secondary School (Da Nang), with the project "REHAB Play Arm – Robotic Therapeutic Arm Brace" (Category A); (2) CDTD Team – FPT Can Tho High School (Can Tho), with the project "CDGuard: An AI-IoT System for Early Warning of Bioavailable Cadmium Risks and Supporting Decision-Making in Soil Remediation for Durian Cultivation in the Mekong Delta" (Category B).
Each winning team received VND 30 million in cash, along with Samsung products worth VND 30 million for each team member, including both student participants and their supervising teachers. In addition, Samsung will sponsor a STEM Lab classroom worth USD 60,000 for each of the two winning schools.
The Organizing Committee also presented two Second Prizes, four Third Prizes, and nine Promising Prizes. Furthermore, 10 provinces and cities and 20 outstanding schools were recognized with the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026 Movement Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievements in this year's online training activities.
| As the 2026 season comes to a close, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow continues to reaffirm its role as an annual platform connecting STEM knowledge with real-life challenges. The experiences and knowledge gained throughout the competition will serve as a foundation for students to nurture their passion for science, proactively explore technology, and develop initiatives that create meaningful value for their communities. |
Speaking at the event, Mr. Na Ki Hong, President of Samsung Vietnam, shared: "By combining Samsung's technological resources and global educational philosophy with NIC's vision, mission, and leadership role, we have built a strong innovation ecosystem. This collaboration not only elevates the scale of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition but also creates greater opportunities for Vietnamese students to gain hands-on experience, expand their knowledge, and reach their full potential. Samsung is committed to continuing its partnership with the National Innovation Center, teachers, and schools, serving as a strong bridge that supports and empowers the technological dreams of Vietnam's young generation to soar higher and go further."
