Vidamco Expects more Car Sales from Gentra Nationwide Road Show

Vietnam-Daewoo Motor Company (Vidamco) opened a large-scale Gentra Nationwide Road Show from May 4-9, 2006 with the aim of introducing the newly-launched five-seat car GM Daewoo Gentra to potential customers as well as to prove the surpassingly advantageous Gentra over the other brands in the same category.
 
The road show started from Hanoi for the Northern route of Hanoi-Bac Ninh-Lang Son-Viet Tri-Haiphong-Quang Ninh-Nam Dinh-Thai Binh-Thanh Hoa-Vinh-Danang, and from Nha Trang for the Southern route of Nha Trang-Dak Lak-Dalat-Vung Tau-Dong Nai-Binh Duong-HCM City-Can Tho-An Giang.
 
During the road show, customers were provided with useful information of Gentra while Vidamco is supposed to get responsive feedbacks from their customers to develop new products meeting market requirements. Despite its launch in January 2006, a quite time of the Vietnamese car market, when most customers were reluctant to buy cars and waiting for lower car prices, Gentra has proved its outstanding features in terms of price (at US$20,900 for Gentra S and US$21,600 for Gentra SX, VAT included), fuel efficiency, and stylish and luxurious design.
 
At the road show’s launching, Vidamco General Director Jung-In Kim showed his worry over a big damage for the infant car industry to be caused by used car imports in the near future and also revealed that his company targets to export its sedans of Matiz and Magnus to ASEAN countries in 2008.
