In recent years, the construction material market of Vietnam has seen the introduction of various kinds of doors like plastic doors, composite doors, wooden doors and rolling doors. To tap this highly potential market, each enterprise must have its own sound policies and strategies to bring right products to right customers.

Presently, traditional rolling doors have a lot of inherent weaknesses. For example, they make too much noise when they are opened because of clashing blades or they will not operate without electricity. Understanding the potentialities of the market and the weaknesses of traditional rolling doors, Hung Phat Production and Trading Co. Ltd pioneered in investing in an Australian technology rolling door production line with an annual capacity of 20,000 square metres in Hanoi, and the company officially rolled out high-grade AUSTDOOR rolling doors onto the market in February 2004. AUSTDOOR has a lot of transcendent properties in comparison with other products, such as smooth operation, lightness, durability, safety and convenience.
After more than two years, the company has continually improved its designs and qualities to manufacture better products for customers at lower prices and supply doors to families, offices, kiosks and high-rise buildings. To date, the company has three product lines widely accepted by the market and consumers: AUSTDOOR- STANDA, DELUX series and ECO Series. Each series has its own properties to match demands and tastes of specific customers. Knowing that the quality means reputation and survival for the enterprise, Hung Phat always commits to use high quality and stable materials supplied by world-leading firms, always perfects and control production stages to guarantee the manufacture of high quality and synchronous products. To ensure quality and reputation, Hung Phat has signed an authorised agreement to use materials of BlueScope Steel of Australia to make the door body.
Hung Phat also continued expanding its southern market. In April 2004, the firm opened a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City and set up a marketing office to boost trade and develop Ho Chi Minh City and southern market. As of June 2005, the company constructed the second assembly plant with a yearly output of 20,000 square metres of doors in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City to meet the increasingly expanding market. To date, Hung Phat has more than 60 distribution agents nationwide, three showrooms in Hanoi, two showrooms in Ho Chi Minh City, a showroom in Danang City and another in Vinh City. Subsequently, AUSTDOOR rolling doors win all prizes for quality products at specialised trade fairs like VIETBUILD and VICONTRUCT. In 2005, the company recorded a growth of 200 per cent compared with 2004.
With successful operation, in the end of 2005, Hung Phat invested to build a factory in Pho Noi A Industrial Park (Hung Yen Province) to supply materials for all AUSTDOOR door assembling factories nationwide, raising the total annual capacity to 300,000 square metres. This factory began operation from June 1, 2006. Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, director of the company, said, Hung Phat will build three additional factories in Danang, Quy Nhon and Can Tho cities, and expand its export market. Initially, the firm will select distributors for the Lao market, and then extend to other regional countries.
