Sacombank Listed on Stock Market

On June 27, 2006, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (Sacombank) announced at Newworld Hotel that it officially listed its stocks on the stock market. At the announcing ceremony, domestic and foreign investors highly appreciated Sacombank stocks.

Shortly, the State Securities Commission (SSC) will allow Sacombank to sell 30,052,000 stocks to mobilise capital for its investment and development. In the coming time, the bank will open some branches in neighbouring countries like Laos, Cambodia and China.

Mr. Dominic Driven, director of Dragon Capital, who represented foreign investors, said the Management Board of Sacombank had a farsighted strategy. On July 12, 2006, Sacombank will officially issue 189,947,299 shares.
