Ambassador Marine had remarks  to the special event showcasing the fine Californian and Washington State wines on September 14, 2006 at Vine Annex. He said: “Fifty years ago, American wines were not well known or greatly respected even in our own country, but by continually applying sophisticated and innovative new technologies in some of the best growing areas in the world for wine grapes, the United States wine industry is now an unquestioned world leader.   With a wide range of growing climates and every size and description of winery possible, America’s wine industry can give you the quality and variety you need. But you don’t need to take my word for it.   Donald Berger and Vine Group have put together a selection of wines from California and Washington tonight that will show you what I am talking about. Donald has also provided some great dishes to eat while you are sampling our wines. I draw your attention particularly to several made from American beef and pork.   As you may know, Vietnam has recently resumed imports of all types of American beef giving you more high-quality choices to meet your customers’ needs.”
