Development of Aquaculture in Vietnamese Reservoirs

On September 18-19, 2006, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Fisheries and Australian Centre of International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) have organized a seminar on “Development of aqua-culture in Vietnamese reservoirs”. The seminar aimed at reviewing the activities of the project in the past 4 years, sharing the experiences with Sri Lanka, recommending efficient models in Vietnam, both technical and managerial solutions to economic, social and environmental issues.

 

The objectives of the project are to identify economic hurdles and development potentials of aquaculture in reservoirs, increase the product quality, promote the output and reduce the poverty of the local people.
