IT Week 15: APEC Welcoming Event of ICT VietnammÂs Industry

According to the Vietnam Association of Information Processing (VAIP), the 15^th Vietnam IT Week will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition and Trade Fair Centre in Hanoi from October 26 - 30, 2006, a few days prior to the APEC Vietnam Summit 2006 and the APEC CEO Summit 2006. The IT Week 15 will comprise of three main activities, namely, information and communication technology (ICT) exhibition, the Forum and Seminar themed “ICT joins WTO: Challenge and Opportunity,” and ITC Vietnam Golden Cup awarding.

 

To date, 90 per cent of A1 Building (2500 m2) of the venue have been registered by leading companies and units. The a broadband and high speed internet connection sponsored by VDC together with WiFi coverage of NetCom will enable the introduction of many network services and digital content services.

 

The ICT Forum has attracted the participation of leading domestic and international organisations and companies such as the Ministry of Posts and Telecoms, the E-commerce Department of the Ministry of Trade, the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), VNPT, FPT, CMS, MISA, Intel and Microsoft.

 

This year, the ICT Golden Cup will be presented for seven fields.
