Industrial Production Value Reaches VND443,555 Billion in Jan-November
The information from the Planning Department said the industrial production value in November reached VND46,771 billion (US$2.92 billion), up 4.8 per cent month on month and 16.7 per cent year on year. Particularly, the state sector increased 6 per cent (centrally run units up 9.2 per cent and locally run units down 2.1 per cent), non-state sector 23.7 per cent and foreign-invested sector 20.8 per cent (oil and gas down 9.3 per cent and other industries up 27 per cent).
The production value totalled VND443,555 billion (US$27.72 billion) in the first 11 months of this year ending in November, representing an increase of 16.9 per cent compared with the same period of 2005.
In November, among units directly under the management of the Ministry of Industry, 14 enterprises and sectors had higher values than in October 2006 and 15 enterprises and sectors had higher values than in November 2005. In 11 months of this year, 18 out of 21 enterprises and sectors saw rising values. Many had higher-than-average growth while several reported lower value due to consumption difficulties.
