Northern Vietnam Licenses US$375Mln Projects

Three northern provinces of Vietnam, Cao Bang, Bac Kan and Lang Son have recently granted licenses to new key projects worth VND6 trillion (US$375 million)...
 
The Ministry of Planning and Investment and the local provincial authorities and the state-owned Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) co-held an investment promotion conference recently.
 
Among seven projects of Lang Son province, a VND150-billion retail and wholesale and store is to be developed by Phu Thai group and two luxury hotel complexes and commercial centers worth VND550 billion, hydropower plant of Thac Xang valued at VND270 billion, a forestation and wood processing worth VND400 billion and industrial zone worth VND900 billion will be developed as well.
 
Three key projects including an iron casting complex worth VND1.2 trillion and hydropower plant of Pac Khuoi capitalized at VND234 billion and a steel ingot mill will be developed in Cao Bang province.
 
Three projects in the fields of zinc, lead and iron will be carried out with combined investment of VND2.15 trillion in Bac Kan province.
 
Of the projects in the region, BIDV will invest in six.
 

Those projects to be invested in these localities are under the “Two Corridors, One Economic Belt” inked by top leaders of Vietnam and China. (Vneconomy)
