Vietnam's Leading IP Developer to Invest in Haiphong
Vietnamese-Singaporean venture VSIP, one of the country’s leading industrial park (IP) developers, has received approval from the northern port city of Haiphong’s authorities to build an industrial-urban complex, state media said.
The 1,200-ha complex will be located along the Cam River in Thuy Nguyen District with 700 ha earmarked for urban development.
However, the total investment has not made available at the moment.
The people’s committee has pledged to assist the investor in the site clearance to speed up the project construction.
VSIP, a venture between Becamex IDC Corp. and Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries, is also seeking to build the Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Bac Ninh on 700 ha in Tien Du and Tien Son districts, Bac Ninh province.
The VSIP Bac Ninh, listed among the country’s priority parks to be built between now and 2015, expected another example in Vietnam in addition to VSIP Binh Duong, a place of interest for Singaporean investors.
Haiphong city is situated at a convenient position for transportation to domestic provinces and international networks via road, rail, sea, inland waterway, and air, making it an ideal destination for both local and foreign investors. (Vietnam Economic Times, Thanhniennews)
