HCMCity Seeking Investors for 412 Projects by 2010

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment has submitted the municipal People’s Committee a list of 412 projects calling for investment from now to 2010.
 
Residential area projects account for 224 of the total, followed by trade center and services sector with 62 projects and industrial complexes and parks with 15.
 
Among the projects, around 90 projects are now ready for investors, focusing in the districts of Hoc Mon, Cu Chi and Can Gio.
 
The city has since early this year withdrawn 20 sluggish projects covering a total area of 174ha with the largest projects including river port (14ha) and a coach station in Nha Be district (8.6ha).
 
The southern hub has to date attracted 2,370 valid foreign invested projects so far, with combined registered capital of US$15.3 billion, topping the country. (Youth)
