PetroVietnam Invests US$2 Bln in HCMC's Urban Area Project

State-owned oil monopoly PetroVietnam group has invested US$2 billion to build a high-ranking urban area in the southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City, local media reported October 10.
 
Occupying an estimated area of 1,000 hectares, the urban area will be located in the metropolis’s Tay Bac Urban Area in Cu Chi district.
 
However, the source did not mention the timetable for the start and the completion of the project.
 
The municipal authorities instructed relevant agencies to coordinate with PetroVietnam to speed up the implementation of the group’s projects including the urban area.
 
Ho Chi Minh City is calling on investors for five key projects that are underway, namely Thu Thiem urban area, Tay Bac urban area, Binh Quoi Eco-tourism resort, Can Gio Eco-tourism resort and Binh Khanh traffic project. (Labor)
