Hoa Phat, Germany's Messer to Build Vietnammâ€s Biggest Industrial Gas Plant

Hoa Phat Group of Vietnam and Messer Group of Germany October 25 signed a deal worth US$30 million to jointly build an industrial gas plant in northern Hai Duong province, the biggest of its kind in Vietnam, an industrial association said.

 

Messer will provide all equipment to install a modern production line, to separate and liquefy industrial gases of Oxygen, Nitrogen and Agon at a capacity of 16,500 cubic meters of oxygen per hour, it said.

 

The plant’s output will fuel Hoa Phat’s steel mills and industrial operations in northern Vietnam, according to the association. The plant, to be located in Hiep Son commune, Kinh Mon district of Hai Duong province, is due for operation within 14 months since the singing day.

 

“Vietnam embraces great potential of industrial gas development”, said Messer CEO, Stefan Messer.

 

Besides, Messer is coordinating with Shinimex Co. Ltd to build a gas separation plant in central Vietnam to supply industrial gas for shipbuilding and other industries in the region, he added. (Investment, VietNamNet)
