Casuco Prioritises Improving Product Quality

In order to learn about the operation of Can Tho Sugar Joint Stock Company (Casuco), Vietnam Business Forum interviewed Mr Nguyen Thanh Long, Chairman of Casuco’s Management Board.

 

Our company always pays great attention to quantity and quality to raise competitiveness and gain the trust of customers when they use our products. Casuco has raised its plant capacity to provide abundant sugar cane for local people, and we are prepared to be a major counterpoint to Thailand, seeking to penetrate the Mekong Delta market with an increasing quantity of low-cost goods. Casuco has also spent much money and effort to improve the quality of our products. We invest tens of billions of Vietnam dong annually toward this goal. Currently, Casuco’s products are traded at higher prices than other kinds of sugar, between VND100,000 and VND300,000 per tonne. We will not stop here.

Vietnamese enterprises are forecast to face a lot of difficulties in the integration period due to the presence of many foreign companies, narrowing the market. What plans has Casuco prepared to cope with this situation?
We think the challenge will create more opportunities for development. We will not merely cope with this, but plan to use cooperation to bring the best products to society. Imported goods are no longer a threat for our business; on the contrary, our products will be exported to other foreign markets in the near future.
