Vietnam, Germany to Enhance Exchanges, Cooperation

A delegation of German leading businesses led by Foreign Minister Dr. Frank Walter Steinmeier is expected to arrive in February 28 to study the market and seek cooperative opportunities, particularly in the industry field, local media said.

 

The visit is a movement to inaugurate a series of important exchanges and cooperation between the two nations this year.

 

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will call at during his tour to European countries scheduled to kick off some next days.

 

On schedule, on the top of Dung's agenda with German PM will be the establishment of the Vietnam-German University and bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, German Ambassador to Vietnam Rolf Peter Gottfried Schulze said.

 

The PM Dung is also expected to hold talks with German state senior leaders and Berlin's First Mayor, focusing discussion on the project to build a metro route in Ho Chi Minh City , which German side pledged to give a non-refundable aid of US$350 million.
