Japan Firm Opens US$35 Mln Sports Equipment Factory in Central Vietnam
Japan-based Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd. on June 5 inaugurated a US$35 million sports equipment factory in central Danang city as part of its business expansion in the locality, the Thanh Nien newspaper reported.
Located in Line Chieu district’s Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone (IZ), the six-hectare Daiwa Sports Equipment Factory mainly produces fishing equipment.
The facility expects to offer jobs to nearly 1,000 local laborers.
Daiwa Vietnam is the second Japanese firm to invest in the Hoa Khanh IZ. Its monthly export turnover is nearly US$1 million to the U.S., European and Asian markets. (Young People)
