CPA Australia Opens for Business in Vietnam

<div align="justify">One of the worlds leading accounting bodies, CPA Australia officially launched its business operations in Vietnam, further growing its presence in south east Asia.</div> <div align="justify"> </div> <div align="justify">Speaking from its office in Hanoi, CPA Australia President Alex Malley said the organisation&rsquos presence in Vietnam was particularly timely given the increasing global demand for qualified accountants.</div> <div align="justify"> </div> <div align="justify">"In many countries around the world, particularly in Asia, economic development is still strong," he said. "Right now, real GDP growth in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia is hovering at around 6-7 per cent per annum. In Vietnam, its around 8-9 per cent. Thats significant growth and coupled with growing concerns about rising inflation, theres an increasing demand for highly qualified accountants. CPA Australia is here in Vietnam to help meet that demand."</div> <div align="justify"> </div> <div align="justify">Mr Malley said CPA Australia members working in Vietnamese businesses had the ss, strategy, indepence and leadership to work in international business.</div> <div align="justify"> </div> <div align="justify">"CPA Australia will be working closely with local professional bodies and regulatory agencies, such as the Ministry of Finance to build the capacity, competence and indepence of the accounting profession in Vietnam."</div> <div align="justify"> </div> <div align="justify">Commitment is made to the ongoing development of CPA Australia and the profession in this region. The operating licence is available for CPA Australias office in Ho Chi Minh City and the Business Development Manager will be working there from early August.</div> <div align="justify"> </div> <div align="justify">More than 100 CPA Australia members already worked in Vietnam but the number needed to increase significantly if the accounting profession was to keep pace with Vietnams expanding economy, he said.</div> <div align="justify"> </div> <div align="justify"><b>T.K.D</b></div>
