Vietnam Biz Showcasing Goods at Indian Trade Fair
Nine Vietnamese enterprises are displaying their handicraft and textile products at the 28th India International Trade Fair (IITF) opened in New Delhi November 7.
Over 7,000 companies from 38 countries, including China, Japan, Russia, South Africa and Turkey, are participating in the 21-day event.
Vietnamese ambassador to India Vu Quang Diem expressed his hope that more Vietnamese companies would participate in trade events in India to promote the country’s exports and boost economic relations.
Bilateral trade between Vietnam and India is expected to climb US$3 billion in 2008, surpassing 50 per cent of the two countries’ target set for 2010.
Vietnam mainly imports machines, equipment, feed materials, footwear, and garments and textiles accessories from the foreign country and exports pepper, rubber, computer hardware and electronic products, cinnamon bark and spice, and garment and textile products. (VNS)
