Taiwanese electronics enterprises are seeking to access Vietnam’s market. A delegation of Taiwan’s electronics enterprises association has recently surveyed the Vietnam market and sent the proposal to the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The Taiwanese enterprises also suggested improving investment environment, stabilizing exchange rates, supplying enough electricity, dealing with issues on workers well, focusing more on building infrastructure and simplifying administrative procedures.

Chiao Yu Cheng, the association’s chairman, said members are shifting investment to the Southeast Asian region, with attention being paid on Vietnam.

As of October 2008, Taiwan is pouring money into 1,950 projects in Vietnam with total value of US$19.5 billion, ranking 82nd among foreign countries and territories investing in the Southeast Asian country. (Investment)
