Vietnam's Crude Oil Exports Up 30.9 per cent to US$9.94 Bln in Jan-Nov
Vietnam is forecast to have obtained US$9.94 billion from exporting 12.41 million metric tons of crude oil in the first eleven months of this year, up 30.9 per cent on year in value but down 10.2 per cent in volume, said the General Statistic Office (GSO).
In November, the country has shipped 1.2 million metric tons of crude oil aboard, up 6.19 per cent on month but down 12.4 per cent on year, the office said.
The Southeast Asian nation is forecast to have attained US$505 million from the outbound shipment during the month, down 24.51 per cent on month and 48.57 per cent on year, according to the GSO.
Crude oil is now Vietnam’s largest forex earner, representing 16.97 per cent of the country’s export revenues between January and November, said the office.
The country is forecast to have spent US$10.55 billion importing 11.8 million metric tons of petroleum products in the first eleven months this year, up 58.3 per cent on year in value and 3.1 per cent in volume, the office said. (GSO Nov 2008, Pioneer)
