Eximbank Lends Ex-Import Companies at 7.5 per cent/Year
Vietnam Export Import Commercial Bank (Eximbank), the country's eighth largest lender, has already given loans at the lowest dong lending rate of 7.4 per cent per annum to the export and import companies with the lending maturity time of 180 days.
The interest rate will not change throughout the lending time for the export import companies that commit to sell US dollar according to the foreign exchange rate at the time of disbursement.
Also, the short-term lending rate of dong is adjusted down to 14.4 per cent per annum and the lending based on overdraft limit has decreased to 14.4 per cent per annum.
Lending rate for business and production households and valuable paper mortgage is down to 14.4 per cent per annum. Customers using Eximbank credit card will enjoy a preferential lending rate of 1.3 per cent a month instead of the previous 1.5 per cent a month.
As of late September, total assets of Eximbank increased by 54.3 per cent from December 2007 to nearly VND52 trillion. Eximbank is currently operating 86 transaction offices nationwide. (Liberated Saigon)
