Vietnam to Take Part in Asia Financial Forum in Hong Kong Early 2009
Vietnam will send a high-profile financial delegation to be led by a deputy minister of finance to attend the Asian Financial Forum with participation of 800 delegates including influential world figures in Hong Kong from Jan 19 to 20 next year, Vietnam & World Report said on December 5.
The AFF will focus on opportunities, challenges and roles of Asian economies in global financial markets, the implications of global volatility for Asia, financial reforms and changes in the regulatory regime, Islamic finance, the global investment climate and new business models in the context of the global tsunami.
The IMF’s Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Alexei Leonidovich. Minister of Finance of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will also deliver speeches in the AFF, the newspaper said.
