Vietnam Trade Bureau: Trade with Switzerland Jumps 32 per cent in Jan-Oct of 2008

The Vietnam Trade Bureau in Switzerland has said that bilateral trade between Vietnam and Switzerland expanded 32 per cent on year in the first ten months of 2008, Vietnam News Agency reported.
 
The bureau did not give the trade value during the time.
 
Vietnam imports were up 39 per cent on year during the period and it imported golf worth billions Swiss francs, the agency said.
 
To date, 90 Swiss firms are operating in Vietnam and are employing 2,000 local workers.
 
The Swiss Import Promotion Program is mapping out differed projects to assist Vietnamese medium and small enterprises to integrate into the world economy, particularly the Swiss and European markets between now and 2011, the agency said. (VNA)
