Saigon Co.op Launches 34th Supermarket

The Ho Chi Minh City Commercial Cooperative Union (Saigon Co.op) January 16 inaugurated a supermarket in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, raising its total to 34 so far.
 
The 4,000-sq.m supermarket costing VND28 billion (US$1.65 million) offered over 20,000 kinds of wide range of products.
 
In mid-December 1008, the company launched the new retail model of Co.op Food chain, following its successful operation of Co.opMart chain and Co.op convenient stores nationwide.
 
Saigon Co.op targets to increase the number of supermarkets nationwide to 100 by 2015. (Labor)
