Central Highlands Province Approves 24 Small Power Projects in 2008
Authorities in central highlands Dak Nong province last year granted investment licenses to 24 small hydropower projects with a combined capacity of 169 MW.
Of the total, four plants with a combined capacity of 27.3 MW are stably operating, four plants with a combined capacity of 33 MW are under construction, and the rest with a combined capacity of 108.7 MW will be kicked off in the coming time.
The province is seeking investors for 64 small-and-medium-sized hydropower projects with a combined capacity of 185 MW and total capital of nearly VND4 trillion (US$250 million) by 2010 in an effort to build 64 hydropower plants between 2004 and 2010. (The People)
