Vietnam Capital City Jan CPI +0.29 per cent on Month
Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi’s consumer price index in January was up 0.29 per cent on month, driven up by food and foodstuff prices thanks to slightly rising consumption demand during Lunar New Year, or Tet, the municipal Statistics Department said.
Food prices rose 1.05 per cent and foodstuff prices were up 0.29 per cent, the department said.
The slight CPI hike is attributed to goods stored by big commercial firms, the department added.
In January, gold price soared 5.19 per cent on month and U.S. dollar was up 0.91 per cent. (
