World Bank Approves US$152 Mln for Vietnam Infrastructure, Poverty Project

The World Bank has just approved a soft loan worth US$152 million through the International Development Association (IDA) for Vietnam’s central city of Danang to develop infrastructure and reduce poverty.
 
The project costs US$218 million, the biggest so far in the city, which is slated for implementation between 2008 and 2013 through two phases the first from 2008 to 2010, the second from 2010 to 2013.
 
The local authorities will contribute US$66 million of reciprocal capital to the project. (Market, Pioneer)
