Vietnam Coal Miner Produces 2.25 Mln Tons of Coal in January

The Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), Vietnam’s leading coal miner, has said that it had produced 2.25 million tons of clean coal in the first month this year.
 
Vinacomin did not give out comparative figures, however. Of the total amount, the group sold two million tons.
 
Vinaconmin also said it produced 200 tons of zinc, 1,500 tons of cast iron and approximately 10,000 tons of ores during the period.
 
The group said that it made gross revenues of VND2.397 trillion (US$141.834 million) including coal production value of VND1.485 trillion.
 
This year, the group targets to produce 42 million of coal and export 20 million tons. (The People Feb 10 p1)
