Vietnam Exports over 1.8M Tons of Rice so far This Year
Vietnamese companies shipped 234,625 tons of rice in the first ten days of April, raising total rice export volume so far this year to 1.819 million tons, the Saigon Liberation reported, citing the Vietnam Food Association.
The export brought in US$736.661 million, the association said.
Currently, export prices of Vietnamese rice are around US$460/ton of 5 per cent broken rice, US$430-US$440/ton of 15 per cent broken rice and US$415/ton of 25 per cent broken rice.
Farmers in Mekong Delta provinces have completed harvest of winter-spring paddy, with price ranging from VND4,600-VND5,200/kilogram. (Saigon Liberation)
