Vietnam to Showcase Exports in Russia in mid-Sept
The Trade Promotion Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) will hold an exports exhibition in Moscow, Russia from Sept 15-18.
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of Vietnamese export products such as agro-forestry-fisheries products, footwear, apparel, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, electronics, tourism and trade services.
About 50 local businesses will participate in the event, which will be a good chance for them to promote the national and their images and boost exports to Russia.
During President Triet’s visit to Russian in October last year, Vietnamese and Russian leaders have agreed to increase the two-way trade to US$3 billion in 2010 and US$10 billion in 2015.
In 2008, bilateral trade reached US$1.5 billion. Of that amount, Vietnam exported US$672 million, an increase of 67 per cent on-year, and plans to increase that figure to US$1 billion in 2009. (Vietnam Economic Times, Vietnam & World Economy)
