Vietnam Banks Extend Subsidized Loans to VND237T

Banks and finance companies in Vietnam had loaned VND236.8 trillion (US$13.98 billion) to local businesses as of April 17, the government of Vietnam said on its Website.
 
In the week ended April 17, banks and finance firms pumped an additional VND18.4 trillion (US$1.08 billion), up 8.42 per cent from a week earlier, it said.
 
State-owned banks lent VND175.94 trillion, up 8.42 per cent, commercial joint stock banks loaned VND50.316 trillion, up 9.07 per cent, joint venture and foreign banks VND10.096 trillion, up 4.41 per cent and finance companies VND474 billion, up 27.76 per cent, it added. (chinhphu.vn April 17)
